Biography
Jessica purchased Cross Creek Equestrian Center in the fall of 2018, bringing with her a lifetime of experience in the equine industry. In 2021, her fiancé, Terry, joined her in continuing to grow and develop the program.
Jessica’s passion for horses began at just five years old when she started riding American Saddlebreds, quickly building a successful show career through her early teens. After her family relocated to Southwest Florida in 1989, she expanded her experience into Hunter/Jumper competitions, three-day eventing, and even spent time practicing polo.
Her professional career began as an assistant trainer at a local farm, where she specialized in starting young horses and conditioning show horses for daily work. In her twenties, Jessica traveled across the country starting colts for some of the top trainers in the United States, further refining her skills and reputation.
In the late 1990s, she opened her first boarding and training facility in Central Tennessee, operating it until 2000. She then moved to South Carolina, where she leased and managed a second facility until its eventual sale, after which she returned to Florida.
Alongside her equestrian career, Jessica pursued her education and has spent the past seventeen years working as a veterinary technician for both small and large animal practices. In 2016, she advanced to the role of Practice Manager at a four-doctor mixed animal veterinary clinic.
With her extensive background in both horsemanship and veterinary care, Jessica is uniquely equipped to provide exceptional care and training for every horse at Cross Creek Equestrian Center.
